This is our original studio block located in the centre of Dalston. Around 30 artists and artisans have their studios in the building.
Less than a minute's walk from Dalston Junction Overground and a few minutes from Dalston Kingsland Overground, the building is located at the heart of what has become a thriving creative area of London.
The front of the building on Ashwin Street is a run of former Victorian terraced houses, now joined together. The back of the building was a warehouse/factory space. The front and back buildings were joined in the 1960s when it became a community arts centre. This closed in the 1980s and the building was squatted until a few years before V22 moved here.

V22 currently runs 10 studio buildings in North and South East London providing 14 affordable artists' studios, artisans' workshops and workspace for creative businesses and social enterprises. From light industrial uses to former terraced houses to a Victorian children’s home, our different buildings offer a variety of self-contained spaces ranging from 44 to 956 square feet.
